Ezekiel 31 & 32

In Ezekiel 31 & 32, we're confronted with the sobering reality of pride and its consequences. The story of Assyria, described as a cedar tree, serves as a warning to Egypt and to us. We see how God can elevate nations and individuals, but when they become prideful and forget their source of strength, a fall is imminent. This passage challenges us to examine our own hearts. Are we allowing our successes to inflate our egos? Are we giving God the glory for our achievements? The imagery of once-great nations lying in the pit together is a humbling reminder that earthly power is fleeting. We're called to root ourselves in God's grace, not in our own perceived greatness. Let's reflect on areas where pride might be creeping into our lives and recommit to walking humbly with our God.
